Traveling Adventures

ra.jpg

One thing you can catch me doing when I can is traveling. Jon and I have travelled to a number of countries this year and have planned more destinations. We enjoy exploring different places, seeing new sites, people and food. The thrill of the next adventure is always on our mind as soon as our feet exit the plane.

As we both enjoy photography, we take our cameras during our adventures and lightly compete against each other in capturing the best photographs of the stunning locations we travel to. Despite the heavy load of the cameras, it's all worth it for the pictures we receive in return.

My favourite destination we've been to so far is Skopje, North Macedonia where we explored vast canyons and got to kayak through it. It was certainly breath-taking and an experience I'd never forget. As proud as I was for resisting temptation to not bring the stray dogs home, it was also very lovely to come home for a traditional cup of tea. I definitely know to carry a separate bag of teabags around with me on my travels across Europe!

The future brings more adventure. Eventually, I would love to travel to Helsinki for a Christmas adventure. I have always visualized a snow getaway to see the Northern Lights and attend the Christmas markets.

Yet it's not just abroad we go, we also make the most of what the UK has to offer right outside our doorstep. Traveling to less populated locations, we have discovered some amazing places we'd have never of thought to go. Road trips are typically our go to to give us that freedom to explore.

Yet it's not just abroad we go, but we also make the most of the stunning scenery that the UK has to offer. We have found some smaller areas across the UK which don't appear as popular that have turned out to be such great finds that we hope to return to. Along the shores of Blyth or the small seaside village of Cromer, the spots make the adventures that much greater.
